Elizabeth Lancaster Fellows, a native Baltimorean, is a graduate of Towson University and the Tai Sophia Institute for the Healing Arts. She is both a Certified Holistic Health Counselor (as a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition) and an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.
Before starting acupuncture treatment, Elizabeth had a successful career in fundraising, working for the American Heart Association, The Foundation Fighting Blindness, and Earth Share. All her life she has enjoyed meeting and talking with people and has a genuine desire to help others. She has volunteered with HIV/AIDS and homeless organizations.
In her mid-thirties, during a severe flare-up of her lifelong asthma, a coworker suggested she try acupuncture. After the first treatment, she was sold! She started feeling so well that she signed up to train for a marathon. To some, the idea of a non-athlete who had never run a day in her life, this seemed crazy and impossible – to Elizabeth, it made perfect sense. That same year, she went back to school (after 15 years in the professional workforce) as a new acupuncture student.
“I believe each one of us has his or her destiny to fulfill. Mine clearly involved helping others using Chinese Medicine.” Four marathons and a graduate degree later, Elizabeth is opening her practice in Prince George’s County, her home for the past nine years.
Elizabeth is excited to be able to offer acupuncture, lifestyle and nourishment coaching, and acu-detox services, along with classes about cooking, healthy eating, and lifestyle choices that will help you to feel better about yourself and enjoy your life more. Next spring, she will once again offer her coaching services to those who want to train for and run their first marathon. Watch the website for news about this exciting program.
Your body is very wise. If you learn to listen to what your body is telling you of its needs for rest, nourishment, physical activity, play, and care, you will know everything you need to know about healing yourself. Chinese medicine is the oldest continually practiced form of medicine in the world, and is currently used by more than one-third of the world’s population to stay well and to tend illness and injury. To the ancient Chinese there was no question that each of us contains all that we need to heal to the degree that nature will allow. Acupuncture and the simple wisdom of my Lifestyle and Nourishment Coaching will teach you to tune in to yourself and to learn how your amazing body can awaken and heal itself of physical, emotional and spiritual ills.
I believe in empowering my patients to be the leaders of their journeys to lifelong health and wellness. My role is to be your partner -- to support you with acupuncture and lifestyle and nourishment education (which might include cooking and shopping together) as you discover what you need to feel fully alive, vibrant and energized!
You are a unique being. In the history of the universe there will never be another like you, and you deserve to be tended with special care. I invite you to visit me at Center Point Healing to discover yourself and the life you’ve always wanted to live.
I promise that I will be present with you exactly
as you are, without judgment. I will devise a
treatment that is simple and that allows your
body, mind and spirit to heal. I will be your partner
in that healing process.
